Yahoo! Widgets

Tuesday, May 22nd, 2007

From my last post regarding my first desktop customization, I used AveDesk and SysStats for desklets. But now, I’m addicted to Yahoo! Widgets which introduced by Jeff.

The widgets I’ve installed:

  • ToDo List – reminds me of important tasks
  • Picture Frame – default widgets included in Yahoo! Widgets to display pictures from flickr, Yahoo! Photos and your computer.
  • Yahoo! Weather – a very accurate weather forecaster included in Yahoo! Widgets.
  • Month Calendar – a calendar that can attach memos.
  • Simple Date and Time – a very simple widget showing the current day, date and time.
  • Jenerator – a small widget which generate random kanji for me to learn Japanese.
  • Slider Widget – a fun puzzle game.

Normally I will only activate Simple Date and Time because I don’t want to waste too much memory for widgets. So I’ll only activate the other widgets occasionally to have fun.
