Examination Results

Tuesday, November 14th, 2006

Wohoo! Today is my “judgement day”. Kidding…Well, examination results for Advanced Diploma Year 1 Semester 1 and Campbell University Junior Year Semester 1 have been collected. Hm..Should I tell you my results?

Ok, but before that let me explain the examination system. Since I’m taking both Advanced Diploma and BSc degree, I have to sit for both exam (that means, two papers for each subject). In Semester 1, I studied 5 subjects. So that were 10 papers. Apart from that, some of the subjects there are practical results. Confusing? Never mind, I’ll list down my results here.

Campbell University Junior Year Semester 1
1) Internet Programming A
2) Internet Programming (Practical) A
3) Object-Oriented Analysis and Design B
4) Object-Oriented Analysis and Design (Practical) A
5) Theory of Interest A
6) Applied Statistics A
7) Applied Statistics (Practical) A
8) Introduction to Psychology B

I earned CGPA 3.6842 with a total of 19 credits. For Advanced Diploma results, I obtained the same results as above.

Actually I didn’t expect to get a B for Psychology as I thought my result should be C. Anyway, I’m extremely happy for that.

Congratulations to Jeff who obtained less B than me.

Remain Silent

Thursday, November 9th, 2006

How I wish I do not belong to the circle. I wish to stand out, but end up walking round and round in circles.

I’m telling myself that I should remain silent. But do I allowed to? I should voice up sometimes. But I’m afraid.

Looking back, I realized that I’ve done something wrong. Extremely wrong. Maybe I really should stand out to have a better look.

I’m just a failure for being the leader of this circle.

Should I?

One of my lecturers encouraged me to apply for Microsoft Student Ambassador. From the very beginning, I’m extremely interested as this is a very good opportunity to learn new technologies and organizing events. Apart from that, she asked Jeff and me to join her as her assistants for Imagine Day (an event to introduce Imagine Cup to our college’s students). Moreover, Jeff and I was thinking of taking part in the Imagine Cup competition.

But both of us have some concerns, mostly regarding time management. Do we have such a time for those? Look, Jeff has decided to have his industrial training next semester which I don’t plan to. For him, it’s too much things for him to handle.

For me, I have other concerns. Today, I received the application form for MSA. When I read through the form, I was stunt. Something are pushing me back as the form asked me to fill up the skills and technologies that I’m familiar with and also write up a short essay sharing the latest technologies that I know.

For programming languages, I’ve learned C, C#, VB6, Java and now learning VB.NET. Among all those programming languages, I think I only know the basics of them. Other skills? I don’t know if I have any. So, should I apply for it?

Back To Normal

Saturday, October 21st, 2006

Everything back to normal this week because I’m back to college. As usual, this semester I have to study 5 subjects (Discrete Mathematics II, Quality Control, Object-Oriented Programming using VB.NET, Database System and Moral Education).

So far, I’m quite satisfied with the schedule provided. Other than that, I felt not so stressed compared to last semester (which is my first semester of advanced diploma). Maybe I haven’t receive any assignments until now (since this is only the first week). But overall, I like the subjects as well as the lecturers.

Now, I’m enjoying the 5-day holiday thanks to the Hari Raya Puasa (Malay’s Fasting Celebration, correct me if I’m wrong about this term) and Deepavali (Indian’s Once-In-A-Year celebration).

I’m planning to add more contents to my website. On the other hand, I might write more interesting topics on this blog. Please check back often to see more contents!
