Two days ago, my husband, brother and I (and Meow Meow!) went back to Sandakan from Kota Kinabalu. My husband drove a Toyota Land Cruiser (VX Limited). In the middle of the journey, my husband wanted to overtake a Perodua Kembara (it was raining at that time). But he saw a lorry was coming to our direction so he drove back to his lane. At this moment, the Kembara driver braked and my husband had no choice but to brake also. Due to the wet road, our car spinned and hit on the divider then spinned for two 360 degrees! Luckily, we didn’t land in the valley or drain. And unexpectedly, my brother was so brave that he didn’t cry or shocked. He even scold my husband for driving so fast. :p

So, thank God four of us are still alive.

These few months I was so busy managing my father’s new business - the bakery. In the mean time, I’m also writing a program to be used as a simple POS and accounting system for the bakery. The program can be used for simple tasks such as recording Cash Sales, Credit Sales and Stock Maintenance. I’m currently refactoring the codes to optimize the performance.

There’ll be less time (or even no Internet access) for me to blog or surf internet. So I’ll just update this blog once a while. Hm…I’m wondering if I should renew my account this year…

I know it’s not a right thing to do, but I did check on his MSN chat history. I found out that he told one girl that he has a 21 years old girlfriend who know he’s married. He even invited the girl to be one of his mistresses! Furthermore, he offered the same thing to a few girls!

He told me that those are just jokes. He bluffs his friends that he has many girlfriends besides the wife (me). Should I trust him? I really don’t know. My mind is such a mess now!

Few words to describe: fun, exciting, and….tired!

We reached the bridal shop at 10am on Wednesday (19/3/08), finished shooting around 7pm. A total of 9 hours!

The package (RM 2388) includes 6 costumes (1 wedding gown for indoor shooting, 2 night gowns, 1 Chinese costume, 1 Spanish costume and 1 wedding gown for outdoor shooting). We took some normal shootings and some funny and naughty shootings which we had great fun from it.

Although it’s tired and took us quite long time, we had fun with the photographer (he’s a professional photographer from Taiwan) and the staffs there.

I’ll upload the photos at flickr after I received it (most probably end of next month). The package allows us to choose 30 photos (originally 22 only) to be printed as albums. My husband and I would like to buy all the photos that we’ve took but it’ll cost us RM 1500 for 100 photos. Luckily, the bridal shop will keep a copy so that we can come back and purchase it on a later date.

Here are the details of the bridal shop as well as the package we signed up:

Name of Shop: Posh Wedding Bridal Gallery Sdn. Bhd.

Address: No.753, Batu 4 1/2, Jalan Ipoh, 51200 Kuala Lumpur.

Telephone: 03-62510125 / 03-62573066

Fax: 03-62573066

Opening Hours: Monday Closed; Tuesday until Saturday 11am to 9pm; Sunday 11am to 6pm

Package: RM 2388 (photo shooting only; original package RM 2788)

Package Includes (the items mentioned below are special offers for me because I don’t have any wedding ceremony and dinner, if you’re interested please contact the consultant for exact package offers):

6 costumes for photo shooting as mentioned above. (Originally 2 wedding gowns, 2 night gowns, 1 costume and 1 gown for outdoor)

1 piece of framed photo (20 X 24″)

4 pieces of framed photos (10 X 12″) ** this is a special offer; originally 1 piece only

An album (12 X 15″) with 30 (originally 22) photos and computer designs.

An album (8 X 10″) with 30 photos.

1 piece of DVD containing 30 photos (slide show) with 1 background song.

1 piece of CD-R containing 30 photos.

Free make-up.

Free hair do.

I’m sure many of pets lovers don’t know how to send their beloved dogs / cats to other places when they’re moving. For me, I’m sending my cat - Meow Meow, from KL to Sandakan, Sabah because I’ll be going back to Sandakan end of this year.

So, the guide here is basically about sending a cat / dog from KL to Sabah. If you wish to know more, you may contact the respective Jabatan Perkhidmatan Haiwan at your area.

Documents Needed
In order to transfer your pets (especially from West Malaysia to East Malaysia, or vice versa), you need to apply a couple of documents before hand.

First, you need to apply an import permit from the JPH of the area you wish to send to. For my case, I need to apply import permit from Jabatan Perkhidmatan Haiwan dan Perusahaan Ternak, Sabah. The cost of import permit is RM 11.00.

Next, apply export permit from the JPH of the area of origin. For me, I have to apply export permit from JPH. There is also a government veterinary clinic which accepts application of import / export permit. Please check the website for contact details.

Finally, bring your pets to a veterinary clinic for medical check up then apply a health certificate from JPH or the government veterinary clinic mentioned above. Of course, your pets must be vaccinated and treated for worms or other diseases before hand.

Please take note that both import and export permit has a validity of 30 days, where as the health certificate is valid for 7 days only. So plan properly.

Sending Pets
There are basically two ways to send your pets, either travel with or without you.

You may send your pets via MASkargo. In this case, your pets are not traveling with you. You may fetch your pets at MASkargo terminals of the destination yourself or appointed person (you may need to state the person’s details while reserving).

If you wish to travel with your pets, you may make a special reservation while you purchase your tickets at MAS agency (online reservation is not applicable). Your pets will be checked in as excess baggage and will be charged according to their weights. For more information, click this link and type in “pets” as search keyword. Then click the “Special Assistance - Traveling with Pets” link.

Please take note that all dogs / cats transporting from West Malaysia to East Malaysia will be quarantined for a period of time which stated by respective JPH of the area. The reason is that East Malaysia (Sabah and Sarawak) is free of Rabies. So, quarantine of your pets is compulsory.

A doctor from JPHPT Sabah told me that my Meow Meow need to stay at the quarantine station (Kota Kinabalu) for 30 days to ensure that it’s free from Rabies. There’s an exception of 7-day quarantine for microchipped cats. After a week at the quarantine station, you may apply for “home quarantine” from the officer on duty.

Another special notes: don’t ever ask whether AirAsia accepts shipment of pets. AirAsia flights claim to be passenger flights, so they don’t ship live animals.

Also, contact the respective JPH for more information before hand for proper planning. Well, there is also alternative if you think these processes are tedious. You may pay extra to let agents or some vets to arrange these things for you. But I tell you, it’s expensive (may costs you nearly RM 1000). Please don’t ask me which agents or vets offer these services because I really don’t know.

You’re welcomed to ask questions and make comments here. I’ll try my best to answer your questions.
